Michael Chmiel has worked with Resonance Ensemble as Belzanor in Caesar & Cleopatra and as Hotspur in H4, an adaptation of Shakespeare's Henry IV Parts I & II, which he co-adapted. Selected stage credits: H4, Taming of the Shrew, Twelfth Night (STONC, CT), Macbeth (West End Theatre), Sarah Kane's CRAVE (Center Stage), Perfect & Constant (Ensemble Studio Theatre) Romeo and Juliet (California Shakespearean Festival), Henry VI Trilogy (Utah Shakespearean Festival), A Christmas Carol (American Conservatory Theatre). Television: "The Bronx is Burning," "Bloody Mary," and the 2013 Emmy-nominated "The Men Who Built America" as William Vanderbilt. Film: The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete, Martha Marcy May Marlene, All Hallows Eve. His first short film, Charred, which he worked on as actor/director/writer/producer won an Accolade Award and screened at both the IFFCA in Los Angeles (2012 Audience Award Winner) and the Queens Film Festival in New York City. Michael also works as a professional writer and his work has been used within Harvard University and the United States Army.
